Malaga Airport is 45 minutes by car, but there are also regular bus services from Nerja.  The recognized fine golf course Baviera golf is only 15 minutes by car from your new home.  In the winter you are only an hour and a half drive to Granada with skiing in the Sierra Nevada, the best of both worlds.
